South West Eco Discoveries is a family owned tour business, operated by brothers Ryan and Michael White, based in Busselton.
As 3rd generation locals in the Margaret River region, they created South West Eco Discoveries with the aim to sustainably welcome nature-based ecotourism to this amazing corner of the world.
They are passionate about helping visitors to create memories and provide a variety of one-of-a-kind tours, suitable for all ages.
So why not check out ‘The Coastal & Wildlife Eco Tour’ where you can experience the beautiful coastal scenery and wildlife of Cape Naturaliste and Geographe Bay. You’ll benefit from local knowledge of the best biodiversity hotspots, seeing dolphins, birds, reptiles and kangaroos – as well as wildflowers and whales dependent on the season. You can even view soft corals and tropical fish through the live underwater camera feed.
Or join ‘The Wine & Sights Discovery Tour’ where you’ll get to see the breathtaking local scenery and iconic sites, before indulging in delicious local wines and gourmet produce by visiting 2 or 3 wineries for a taste of the region.
However, our personal favourite obviously has to be ‘The Nocturnal Animal Tour’. This completely unique night-time tour – held within our very own 100-acre conservation sanctuary here at Yelverton Brook – showcases wildlife and bushtucker native to the Margaret River region.
Watch as the animals rise for their nightly antics – getting up close with possums, bandicoots, kangaroos and other nightlife in their natural environment. You’ll also have the opportunity to see critically endangered Woylies, all while gazing at the millions of stars in the sky and enjoying a cup of billy tea – a true Aussie experience!
Private tours and charters are also available where your guides will help create a tour tailored to you, allowing you to customize your experience!
Through a life-time spent in the area, South West Eco Discoveries have designed tours that showcase the very best the region has to offer, whatever time of the year you decide to visit.
They are one of the best ways to experience everything the Southwest has on offer so we definitely recommend booking yourself onto a tour!
