Yelverton Brook Eco Spa Retreat is a perfect way to relax and unwind amid the

The property was purchased in 1988
and was originally a bare bush block with no improvements, to now a multi
award winning property found in the heart of the Margaret River Wine Region,
only 15 minutes to Busselton, Margaret
River and Dunsborough.
Centrally located to wineries, beaches and restaurants.
The chalets were beautifully built by
Simon & Joy (the owners), Simon is a Shipwright by trade and a craftsman,
the cottages are fully self-contained and are built from hand-made mudbricks,
featuring local timberwork and stone finishes. Each one has a gas barbecue
and includes your own large private outdoor 11 jet Hydro Therapy Massage Spa.

Set the mood for romance with your
favourite CD’s and the world-class wines and foods from the area. Guests
complimentary local produce will be stocked in their cottage on arrival,
which includes fresh milk, eggs, local paper, butter and map and imagine
arriving to the aroma of a loaf of freshly baked bread.

Yelverton Brook Eco Spa Retreat is
committed to preserving the natural environment. All the cottages are solar
orientated, well insulated, water and energy efficient and a recycling
program is in place.
Since 1998 Yelverton Brook Eco Retreat has won many awards from
Superior Accommodation in the WA Tourism Awards ’98 & ’99, Telstra Small
Business Awards – ’98, ’99 & 2001 became a state Finalist in the Micro- Business
Category.
In 2001 we where finalists in the WA
Landcare Nature Bushcare Conservation awards. We were the only Australian
tourism business to become a finalist in the Australian Banksia Environmental
Awards in Small Business Responsibility and Leadership 2001 and 2002. They
became a finalist in 2 entries into the WA Environment Awards 2002 in Eco
Buildings & Small Business Responsibility and Leadership. Voted by
Readers Choice Awards in 2005 & 2006 Best Romantic Retreat in WA, 2005 WA

Yelverton Brook is also accredited
with Tourism Council Western Australia and holds the highest accreditation
with the Eco Tourism Association of Australia – Advanced Accreditation since
Dec ‘99.

Over 50 + species of birds have been

The retreat is establishing a Conservation
Sanctuary by predator proof fencing the 100 acres as this will re-establish the natural balance
of native species back onto the property. So far Ring-tailed Possums have been
reintroduced that have been rehabilitated from injury or predation. Woylies
(Brushtailed Bettongs) are now in a breeding program onsite. Each chalet
contains feed for the visiting wildlife – birds, kangaroos, possums and
bandicoots,
and they offer extensive
walk trails around the 100 acres and along the winter stream & picnic
sites. Coming soon will be guided “Nocturnal Walks showing Aussie native
fauna. An Eco Interpretive Centre/Kiosk is next.
Eco Tours are available working with
other local operators - offering whale & dolphin tours, Bushtucker &
winery tours, Hemp products, Organic Wines & Aboriginal Culture.
Special packages - Romantic, Ultimate and Executive are
available or customize a special package to suit your needs, honeymoons
especially catered for. Private in-house chef now available with optional
antique crystal & china accessories, Day Spa treatments are avaliable in the
privacy of guests chalets eg: massages, facials etc:
Room types:
1 and 2 bedroom units: some have 4
poster beds or wood fires. Two bedroom chalets have 2 queen rooms.
All units, are solar designed
mudbricks, timber and stone, are fully self-contained. Hydrotherapy massage
spas with 11 jets each are located in each chalet. Many options eg: food platters, picnic
baskets, satin sheets, flowers etc: are avaiable.
All units have a sofa bed in the
lounge area if required.
