Visit Moon Haven

Making their herbal and aromatherapy goodies for the past 18 years in micro batches is what they love. The products are “ Handmade in small batches with passion from their family to yours.” Moon Haven is all about fun.  It is not just some random retail space where you wander in and wander out.  Once through the cottage doors they encourage to play with all of their products.

You see not only do they have all of the wonderful handcrafted herbal products on display, but the scent as you walk in, the colour and textures, the sense of tranquility and peace that pervades the simple space…. well let's just say everyone should experience it at least once in their life.

History of Moonhaven

In 1998 after many years of a debilitating muscle pain & tiredness Leonie Gully was finally diagnosed the Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS). This lead her & husband Eric down a path of exploring the best that western medicine & complimentary therapies could offer to bring her relief. Finding little relief for her pain, Leonie started researching herbal & aromatherapy & making a salve that actually worked for her. St Johns Wort & Calendua Rub was born & a new business emerged as the secret came out.

Her kitchen became a laboratory with a lot of pots, jars of herbs infusing on the bench, a pot or too simmering. Ideas turned into products, tested on willing band of people. As they says the rest is history. Moonhaven was born.

A enchanting cottage in Cowaramup became it’s home in the Margaret River region in Western Australia. Now Leonie with her son Chris & partner Laura family formulate & produce the amazing products onsite.

Makeover & Murals

Just recently the shop got an awesome makeover with amazing murals painted on the outside. The mural was designed and painted by renown mural artist Brenton See (Newdegate wheat silos, entrance to AQWA and numerous other commissions around WA – etc), who also happens to be Leonie’s nephew.

“No trip down south is complete without a visit to Moon Haven, offering you Aromatherapy for your home, body & soul”

This is what they are constantly told when visitors come to the herbal cottage in the delightful village of Cowaramup only 15 mins short drive from Yelverton Brook.
